Digital Strategy

Background:

The Berthiaume team needed help in creating and executing a high-energy marketing and communications strategy that would build a national reputation for supporting on-campus ventures and catalyzing Amherst’s local entrepreneurship ecosphere.

Solution:

In partnership with the Clarity agency, we built out a multi-faceted approach that encompassed a branding assessment, a website refresh, content strategy, newsletter campaigns and a more robust social media presence.

In parallel, we trained two Berthiaume Center staffers to execute the strategy in-house, dialing ourselves back to an advisory role. At the end of our coaching engagement (spanning eight months), we collaborated on a brand manual with step-by-step instructions for everything from planning and promoting events to building and maintaining a successful editorial calendar.

We also assisted the Berthiaume Center in a three-year pilot launch launch of its own marketing and communications agency, BuzzBuilders. The first BuzzBuilders interns are now actively using well-developed skills in client communications, content creation and creative direction out in the professional world.
